July Currently!

It's July?  Seriously?  Where did my first precious month of vacation go?!  That means it's time to link up with Farley again!

I am LOVING summer.  It's my first one off ever and it's just what I needed.  I'm starting to feel human again!  :)  Unfortunately my bookshelf just can't keep pace with me- any good suggestions?

I can't stop THINKING about next year... Some of you may have heard via FB, but I'll be heading back to JK!  :)  Overall I'm pretty excited, but I still have some mixed feelings about it.  I really fell in love with Kinder last year (but I missed JK a lot too).  And most of all I am really WANTING to go to Vegas to the conference and my former teammate gets to go (but I can't because I don't teach K anymore).  And I swear according to Facebook all my blogger buddies are going too.  I need to seriously stop thinking about it so much and remember the advice above!

I am seriously NEEDING some motivation.  I am working out and eating so much healthier but after losing almost 10 pounds I seem to have hit a weight loss plateau.  Any advice?

And the 4th of July?  Plans?  What month is it again?  :)

Happy summer!  Don't forget to link up with Farley and fill us in your summer fun so far!

  1. Girl, I am so with you on that motivation train! I'm having such a hard time getting my motivation mojo together this week. Sometimes trying a new type of workout can be helpful in getting over a hump. Good luck!

  2. I love it! Teachers really do know the exact date and time during school, but in the summer....ehh, well. It doesn't really matter does it?

  3. I agree with not knowing the date! I was at the bank a few days ago and I asked the teller what day it was, I think I said the 16th and he was like, "no, the 23rd" or something, I was way off- it was hilarious!!! It's very common to hit a plateau. My suggestion is to change it up a bit- add weights slowly. It's amazing how much you can burn when doing simply weight lifting. Whatever you do, don't give up!! :)

    1. Haha, that's totally what it feels like! :) Sometimes I wish we had a blogger rule like in the classroom with birthdays... no talking about it unless if everyone's invited! But in the end I know I'll love getting to see what everyone learned. We're all so great at sharing! :)

  5. Change it up, but more than anything say positive things out loud and think positive thoughts. Imagine yourself looking the way you want to look and keep saying how grateful you are and proud you are for losing those 10 pounds. And ooh and aah and love every bite of everything you eat. Feel good and good will come! Okay, that's my manifestation rant. You are gorgeous and right here, right now is an awesome place to be! :) xoxoxooxox Keep enjoying your summer, sweetie!

Holiday Customs & Belated Friday Freebies

Saturday is here and Christmas Break has begun!  Well, in my case it's a 4 day weekend, but I'll take it.  I confess I am very jealous of my peers right now that get a two week break.  But I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a good break, and I can't wait to see the exciting stuff you create!  :) What a busy week it has been!  Between practicing for the Holiday Song Program, doing the Holiday Song Program, recovering from the Holiday Song Program, I'm not sure how we accomplished anything at all!  But accomplish we did, and largely thanks to you, my wonderful fellow blogger teachers!  I am so thankful for the great resources you make and share, they were a lifesaver this week for sure!  Here's a look at our week of Holiday Customs Around the World: Art Snowflake Craft Stick Ornaments (Parent Gift) These turned out so great!  I poured some craft (tacky) glue a bowl and they used Q-tips to place glue onto their gemstones.  Then, they put

There's No Place Like Space: Outer Space Adventures & Friday Freebie

TGIF!!!  What a week!  I absolutely adored seeing my kiddos learn about space, but this week was a toughie.  Sick and tired kiddos do not make for a happy class.  Everything kept going the wrong way: food spilled on the newly cleaned carpets, bloody noses on the newly cleaned carpets, bathroom accidents during the middle of centers, pink-eye working its' way around the room, forgotten materials at home, the printer at FedEx Office went haywire and messed up my play-doh mats, the copy machine at work broke, I broke the side mirror of my car coming out of the garage... Yikes!  I was seriously scared to leave my house this morning!  :)  So here's hoping the stars re-align this weekend and my class comes back rockin' and rollin' and ready to learn on Monday! With all that being said, it was still a fun and jam-packed week.  I loved overhearing one of my kiddos tell his parent, "Mom, did you know the sun is ACTUALLY a star?!?!"  And I got to test out another
