Families & Freebies on a Friday... err... Monday!

Friday Feelings, Communication, Valentine's & Freebies

Wow, what a crazy busy week!  (But then again, what week isn't?)  First of all let me say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful week with your class filled with lots of love.  Our party was great yesterday, I just wish I had Monday off to recover!  (On Monday we are having a staff training day... and get this... I'm presenting on Positive Discipline!  Super excited but super nervous.  I mean, I don't really feel "old" enough yet to be teaching other teachers on classroom management!) Before I start gabbing about this week, I need to tell you how much I love the "If You're Happy and You Know It" Song!  We sang this great song all week and substituted different feelings/actions.  The best part is I always end with some lyrics of my own invention, "If you're ready and you know it take a seat/If you're listening and you know it look at me," so on and so forth.  :)  GREAT song for transitions and learni...

Holiday Customs & Belated Friday Freebies

Saturday is here and Christmas Break has begun!  Well, in my case it's a 4 day weekend, but I'll take it.  I confess I am very jealous of my peers right now that get a two week break.  But I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a good break, and I can't wait to see the exciting stuff you create!  :) What a busy week it has been!  Between practicing for the Holiday Song Program, doing the Holiday Song Program, recovering from the Holiday Song Program, I'm not sure how we accomplished anything at all!  But accomplish we did, and largely thanks to you, my wonderful fellow blogger teachers!  I am so thankful for the great resources you make and share, they were a lifesaver this week for sure!  Here's a look at our week of Holiday Customs Around the World: Art Snowflake Craft Stick Ornaments (Parent Gift) These turned out so great!  I poured some craft (tacky) glue a bowl and they used Q-tips to place glue onto their ge...
