Saturday Treat for My Sweets: School Stationery

Aaaah I'm sorry I'm posting this so late today!  I may have forgotten it was Saturday.  Actually, I remembered it was Saturday but then I forgot to post before I left the house and went on a date with my bestie to see this movie:

Have you seen it?  Have you read the amazing book yet?  If not you definitely should!  I'm pretty sure I damaged my eyes with all the copious crying I did today.  The amount eclipsed my tears shed when Sirius died in book 5 of Harry Potter and the end of the Notebook combined.  So don't say I didn't warn you.

Anyways, I did give myself a headache so I had to kick back and relax a bit before hopping on the computer to bring you your next sweet treat.  I promise I haven't forgotten you wonderful followers (and visitors) of mine!

In case if you're new around here, here's how it works:
  • Swing by the blog on Saturdays to snag a sweet free treat
  • See a sneak peak of the Sunday Super Steal Deal item (or items)
  • Super Steal Deals start on SUNDAY and last all week!
  • Facebook Fans have an additional opportunity to win the Sunday Steal Deal (make sure you're a fan!)
Today's sweet treat comes from my newest creation, Stationery Central.  There are 4 different cute pencil pages included to support the various levels of your writers:

I don't know about your class, but my kiddos love to write letters and notes to each other!  I usually introduce different kinds of letter writing throughout the year in conjunction with dramatic play.  For example, around Christmas we learned how to write letters (we practiced first by writing to Santa Claus) and cards.

Around Valentine's Day we add postcards into the mix, so that at the dramatic play post office the kiddos can choose between post cards or sending a letter.

After letter writing has been introduced, the materials remain available in the writing center for the kiddos to choose during Work on Writing if they want.  I keep it fun and engaging with different seasonal stationery templates.  You can find the letter writing stationery, anchor charts, launch lesson plans and more in the pack below- which you can grab for a STEAL of a deal all next week!

  1. What a great post, and a wonderful freebie!! My kinders LOVE to write letters and cards to each other! In the beginning of the year I make a 'Class Picture Dictionary' with all of their pictures next to their name so they can choose the friend they want to write to! Thanks so very much for sharing such great writing stationary, it will be a wonderful addition to my Writing Center for my kinders to work on during Daily 5. Thank you so much for sharing, I'm your newest follower!!

    Warmest Wishes,
    Erin

Holiday Customs & Belated Friday Freebies

Saturday is here and Christmas Break has begun!  Well, in my case it's a 4 day weekend, but I'll take it.  I confess I am very jealous of my peers right now that get a two week break.  But I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a good break, and I can't wait to see the exciting stuff you create!  :) What a busy week it has been!  Between practicing for the Holiday Song Program, doing the Holiday Song Program, recovering from the Holiday Song Program, I'm not sure how we accomplished anything at all!  But accomplish we did, and largely thanks to you, my wonderful fellow blogger teachers!  I am so thankful for the great resources you make and share, they were a lifesaver this week for sure!  Here's a look at our week of Holiday Customs Around the World: Art Snowflake Craft Stick Ornaments (Parent Gift) These turned out so great!  I poured some craft (tacky) glue a bowl and they used Q-tips to place glue onto their gemstones.  Then, they put

There's No Place Like Space: Outer Space Adventures & Friday Freebie

TGIF!!!  What a week!  I absolutely adored seeing my kiddos learn about space, but this week was a toughie.  Sick and tired kiddos do not make for a happy class.  Everything kept going the wrong way: food spilled on the newly cleaned carpets, bloody noses on the newly cleaned carpets, bathroom accidents during the middle of centers, pink-eye working its' way around the room, forgotten materials at home, the printer at FedEx Office went haywire and messed up my play-doh mats, the copy machine at work broke, I broke the side mirror of my car coming out of the garage... Yikes!  I was seriously scared to leave my house this morning!  :)  So here's hoping the stars re-align this weekend and my class comes back rockin' and rollin' and ready to learn on Monday! With all that being said, it was still a fun and jam-packed week.  I loved overhearing one of my kiddos tell his parent, "Mom, did you know the sun is ACTUALLY a star?!?!"  And I got to test out another
